CHAMONIX GATHER FOR GAZA
December 13, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Gather for Gaza is a grassroots initiative where the public hosts their own events to raise money for UNRWA emergency assistance for Palestine refugee families in the Gaza Strip. Now thanks to Nicola Valentine, some motiovated individuals and with the support of Vert Lodge Chamonix joins the GATHER FOR GAZA movement this Wednesday.
This is your opportunity to connect with those near and dear to you and find a sense of broader humanity and global community while raising money and awareness for Palestine and her people…
Hundreds of thousands of displaced people are currently sheltering inside UNRWA schools and hospitals and there are thousands of UNRWA humanitarian workers on the ground in Gaza providing aid. Your money will go directly to providing emergency aid for the displaced people of Gaza, including food, shelter and medical supplies.

Not at all, we are not interested in taking sides. We fully abhor the events of 7th October and the continued threat to Israeli life by Hamas bombings. We also fully abhor the bombing and displacement of innocent civilians in Gaza. Our motive in organising the Gather for Gaza fundraiser is to attempt to reduce human suffering. We believe that the most cost-effective way to reduce suffering in this conflict is to provide life saving emergency aid to the people of Gaza. This is why the event is a fundraiser for Gaza.
WHY UNRWA IS AN EFFECTIVE CHARITY TO HELP REFUGEES IN GAZA
• UNRWA is an impartial UN Agency and even before the conflict they were providing health care and education to the people in Gaza
• Nearly 900,000 displaced people are currently sheltering in UNRWA facilities across the Gaza Strip.
• 93% of Gaza’s population relies on UNRWA’s 22 health care facilities
• 1,016 UNRWA health care staff currently in Gaza
• They are the largest UN organisation in the Gaza strip
