In a heartwarming tribute to a beloved actress, the Vox cinema in Chamonix is gearing up for a special event that promises to be a night to remember. The occasion? A tribute to the iconic French actress, Catherine Lachens, who has left an indelible mark on the world of cinema.

With a warm “Bonjour les amis” (Hello friends), the event organizers extend their heartfelt greetings and a warm welcome to everyone. As the new season kicks off, they invite the community to come together on the 23rd at the Vox to celebrate this exciting event and, more importantly, to help in spreading the word.

Chamonix residents are no strangers to Catherine Lachens, who has become a familiar face on the town’s streets and at the local market. In a fitting tribute, the Vox cinema has named its recently renovated theater 1 after her and will be rolling out the red carpet in her honor.

The highlight of the evening will undoubtedly be the chance to hear Catherine Lachens herself share her memories of a illustrious career, during which she had the privilege to work alongside some of the biggest names in French cinema, including Brigitte Bardot, Alain Delon, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Pierre Richard, Josiane Balasko, and many more. She also collaborated with some of the finest directors in the industry, such as Georges Lautner, Claude Zidi, Philippe de Broca, Claude Chabrol, among others.

The event will kick off with a friendly gathering over drinks, and at 8:45 PM, attendees will be treated to a screening of “L’Arrestation.” This emotionally charged film tells the story of a young writer who, just as he announces the completion of his novel to his fiancée, finds himself unexpectedly arrested by three individuals. The screening is part of the Grand Prix des Droits de l’Homme, making it a thought-provoking and poignant choice.

Ticket prices for the evening are set at €8 for members of the hosting organization and €12 for non-members. To ensure you don’t miss out on this memorable event, it’s recommended to reserve your seats in advance through the website: www.helloasso.com/associations/les-amis-du-cinema-chamonix/evenements/soiree-catherine-lachens.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of this exceptional evening honoring Catherine Lachens and celebrating the magic of cinema at the Vox in Chamonix. It promises to be an evening filled with nostalgia, great films, and community spirit.
