Got something extraordinary for you! The choreographer pays homage to the brilliant sculptor’s work in a creation inspired by nine choreographed films at the Rodin Museum. The power of “The Thinker,” the might of Balzac, the tenderness of “The Kiss”… the dance movements echo the soul’s passions and the artist’s fantasies. It’s a ballet that’s both vibrant and stunning!

Every time my eyes land on an Auguste Rodin sculpture, I’m overwhelmed with emotion. The still bodies seem to move, breathe, talk, even shout, scream, or plead. They embody strength and power yet also vulnerability and surrender. Many sculptures are amputated, rooted in stone or marble blocks. I wanted to translate all these emotions into the dancers’ movements. From muscular power and fibrous tension to fragility, surrender, and at times, an almost erotic sensuality. It’s an emotional journey into the intimate, reflecting our own emotions.

Choreography: Julien LESTEL assisted by Gilles PORTE Featuring: Eva BÉGUÉ, Titouan BONGINI, Alexandra CARDINALE, Florent CAZENEUVE, Maxence CHIPPAUX, Jean-Baptiste de GIMEL, Roxane KATRUN, Ingrid LEBRETON, Inès PAGOTTO, Louis PLAZER, Mara WHITTINGTON

The press is raving about it: Rodin resurrected. Last night, at Salle Pleyel, Auguste Rodin’s bronzes and marbles were resurrected – no exaggeration – before an audience left in awe by this wonder. The miracle happened on stage: all at once, in an almost supernatural surge, the matter came to life, the matter incarnated. (…) Le-sens-critique

Big news! The Fête de la science in Chamonix is about to kick off, running from October 6 to 16, 2023. Here’s the scoop – Rochebrune, an imaginary village, is on high alert due to mountain landslides caused by climate change.

Picture this: local folks deep in discussions about the valley’s future, while an adventurous mountaineer aims to conquer the region’s crucial peak. Meanwhile, other characters are tangled in mountain affairs, grappling with urgent issues. Their paths collide at a refuge, where a watchful janitor witnesses the crumbling cliffs.

This play delves deep into the mountain realm, portraying them as “sentinels” of climate disruption. It’s an absorbing, heart-pounding tale, masterfully led by four exceptional actors. The play unfolds a documented chronicle that’s both concrete and poetic, painting an image of humanity teetering on the precipice.

Exciting news! The Tap Factory show is hitting Chamonix at EMC2, and it’s like nothing we’ve ever seen. Picture a mesmerizing blend of tap dance, urban moves, percussion, and acrobatics, led by world-renowned artists. Vincent Pausanias, the choreographer, has woven pure magic into it, fusing different arts to create an unforgettable rhythm and poetry experience.

Let’s not miss out on this incredible fusion of talents. I’m recommending we catch this show together – it’s a night of artistry and wonder that’s totally worth it!
